The CIUW is an independent labor union founded in 1981 for the exclusive purpose of representing utility sector employees. Currently CIUW members are employed at the Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation (East Hartford CT), the Berkshire Gas Company (Pittsfield MA) and The Hartford Steam Company (Hartford CT).
